Welcome to 8th Grade Physical Science!
In this class, we will study matter and energy. We will define the properties and states of matter. We will study atoms, elements, compounds, and chemical reactions, learning to read the Periodic Table of Elements and to balance chemical equations. We will investigate friction, gravity, force, and Newton’s laws of motion. We will consider work, machines, and energy. Heat transfer in the atmosphere and the role of human activity in climate change will also be investigated.
